A visionary, Carolyn established the first woman-owned Family Law practice in Jacksonville over 40 years ago. She earned her undergraduate degree in philosophy and then went on to graduate with honors from George Washington University. Carolyn was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1972 and began her distinguished career with the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, handling complex Federal Court cases.
Carolyn is co-founder and serves as senior counsel for Zisser Family Law. She believes law is philosophy with ethics put into action, which drives her pursuit of what is just and right. She is also formally trained in Collaborative Family Law.
Carolyn is a Master of the Family Law Inns of Court. This level indicates she is among the most experienced members of the profession. Acknowledged by many sources as one of Jacksonville’s top-rated Family Law attorneys, Carolyn is also a well-respected lecturer and author on Family Law subjects for the American Bar Association, Florida Bar and Jacksonville Bar Association.
Carolyn has also achieved the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating. This is the highest peer review rating awarded for ethical standards and legal ability. Fewer than five percent of all law firms qualify for this rating. She has also been consistently selected as one of Florida’s Super Lawyers since 2007.
